LinneaHello! It's my pleasure to do the welcome song for you today. This song has come from the rock itself. As you know, this is a secret transformer stone. When we first discovered the stone, visitors and students had heard that song. We could hear loud drumming and singing.

In the summer of 2004, a young man named Gabriel George arrived here to work. He is the son of Chief Dan George, and the grandson of Leonard George. They have a wonderful performance group at Burrard First Nation. He was up at the rock, he could hear loud drumming and singing, but the wonderful thing about Gabriel, he could remember that song. He brought it down here, and taught that song to us.

We didn't know what to do with it, so we asked our cultural adviser, Siya:mchess, "What should we do with that song?" He said, "You have to share it." So that's what I'm going to do for you, this afternoon.
