Wild Berries
Wild berries are a large part of the plant products used by the Stó:lō people. The Fraser Valley is abundant with this resource and the collection season is long-lasting from late spring to early fall. A wide variety of fruits are used, ranging from the first collection of salmonberries, followed by strawberries, thimbleberries, and blueberries; Saskatoon berries, Oregon grapes, blackberries and cranberries are picked in the later summer and early fall.
