xwōqw'ō:ls (Wild Potato)

There are two kinds of wild potatoes that are utilized by the Stó:lō people-the blue camas and the Wapato. These root vegetables are found in a wide variety of environments in the Fraser Valley. The wild potato is an excellent source of carbohydrates and could be roasted, steamed or boiled for soups.
