Tom Patterson

Tom Patterson is a member of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth tribe on Vancouver Island. Patterson began carving at the age of fifteen with the Arts of the Raven workshop program, where he developed his skill under the tutelage of Tony Hunt Sr. He has been influenced by the works of Tim Paul, Don Yeomans, and Art Thompson. Patterson developed his style of art through studying his own culture in books, images, and discussions with the elders.
