Introduction
The earth is moving under our feet, forming new environments and changing our lives. How can we use geography to find out what happened in the past? How can we use this knowledge to predict the future? Thousands of years ago massive glaciers covered North America. They scoured the land and created new features. We are still living with the effects of that glacial period. We can use the principles of glaciation, deglaciation and rebound to understand the past. How can we use current data about global warming to predict future changes to our landscape?

Come into our web site and learn about geology and geography directly from some of Canada’s leading scientists. The earth is moving under our feet, forming new environments and changing our lives. How can we use geography to find out what happened in the past? How can we use this knowledge to predict the future?
