Transcript: Definition of Forensic Palynology
Dr. Rolf Mathewes: Palynology is a sub-discipline of botany, but it's the study of microscopic pollen grains, spores and other small microscopic organic plant fragments, including some algae and other things. So forensic palynology means using these microscopic plant bits - pollen and spores primarily - in the investigation of crimes or other legal questions.
